PEP® was developed by Dr. Michael Bohne and combines elements from energetic psychology, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and self-compassion.The aim is to solve emotional blockages, calm the nervous system and promote self-acceptance.The focus is on working with body reactions and thought patterns. Through gentle knocking of certain acupuncture points, self-observation and targeted self-application, emotional tensions can be reduced and stressful thought patterns changed.PEP® is suitable both as an independent method and as a supplement to psychotherapeutic or body-oriented work.
How PEP works
The combination of physical stimulation, conscious perception and mental realignment supports the regulation of the autonomic nervous system. Emotional reactions that were previously automatic can be experienced consciously and thus changed.
The brain learns to distinguish between stress and discharge. Safety and self-efficacy are noticeable.
When PEP can be helpful
• Stress, overexertion and emotional tension
• self-doubt, inner criticism and shame
• Shame and guilt
• Supporting self-regulation
• as a supplement to hypnotherapy or coaching processes
