ACT is a modern, experiential approach that helps people to interact with themselves and their feelings in a new way. Instead of fighting symptoms, it is about consciously perceiving, accepting and aligning your own actions in what really matters. It combines mindfulness, acceptance and psychological flexibility. It helps to gain distance to stressful thoughts, allow feelings and get in touch with your own values. These values become an inner direction that gives orientation, even when life is challenged.
How ACT works
In the therapeutic process, it is learned not to avoid difficult thoughts, sensations and memories, but to confront them with openness. Through mindfulness exercises, a change of perspective and a focus on personal values, the inner freedom to make conscious decisions can grow. The goal is not to avoid pain, but to actively shape life again despite pain.

• depressive moods and exhaustion
• Pain and stress management
